The only place that I can really call home is Irvine, CA, where I have been living here since I was born. After graduating from University High School with honors, I chose to attend University of California, Irvine, in order to continue my research with Prof. Daniel R. Mumm. I love my studies at UCI (Materials Science Engineering & Mechanical Engineering), but I also love taking classes on computer science and biology.
I’m an engineer inside and outside of the classroom. From my compressed-air marshmallow gun to a 30-ft. Eiffel Tower replica, I love to build things (especially with my 3D printer). Employees at the local hardware stores recognize me during my frequent visits and always ask me what I'm working on, at which point I excitedly explain.
In terms of sports, I enjoy activities like rock climbing, archery, and marksmanship. I shoot with a compound bow at the archery range, and I make sure to practice using both, rifles and pistols, when I'm at the gun range. I can spend hours at the range clearing my mind, just focusing on the target.
My artistic side manifests not only in my photography and graphic design work but also in my love for playing piano, which I started teaching myself at 13. I like to mostly play current songs from the radio, but I also love classics like Clair de Lune.
